The Weekly Offer You Can't Refuse
Home brew'd is best
It's President's Day (or week)... a time for remembering some of those who saw the beginning of this country and discussed it's formation
over a tall glass of beer. Brewers were a vocal group during the days of the writing of our Constitution, displaying signs and flags
decorated with the brewers arms, and the motto,
'Home brew'd is best' and 'Ale, proper drink for Americans'.
Even Washington himself had his own homebrew recipe.
I'll admit, it's a little on the unusual side, but the first President of our country was a homebrewer! An extract brewer, as a matter of fact.
As a tribute to this, we're offering 10% off all beer recipe kits this week. Brew up a batch of your own homebrew just like the founders of
our country did!
Offer available from February 19 through July February 25, 2012. Mention "Prez Deal" at the counter. Discount may not be used in combination with other discounts.
Brew School is in session!
We're proud to announce Brew School at Bull City Homebrew, an intro class for
people who want to learn how to use the standard equipment and make a batch of beer from a recipe kit. The class will run for about
a half hour, with open Q&A time afterwards. The cost is free and no prior knowledge of homebrewing is required.
Space is limited to 10 people per class, so check out the Brew School page
and sign up before space runs out!

"I'll Be Bock"
We all know that the Terminator came from "da fyoochah" to destroy Sarah Connor, but I suspect that he may have also
come for some beer, which of course robots had no use for in the future. We also know that he was a robot, but deep down,
he was still the Arnie we all know and love and I'm sure the Austrian in him couldn't resist a good Bock, so he may have
gone a little off script there, but we get it! I'd time travel for some Bock too.
In an unrelated story, Punxatawney Phil has officially declared that there will be
6 more weeks of this brutally mild winter that we've been having. Which brings us "bock" to homebrewing, specifically lagering.
Many people have not tried making a lager because of the difficulty of keeping the temperature around 50 degrees. This is the perfect
time of year to give it a try, when the nights are cold and a garage or crawlspace becomes the ultimate fermentation chamber.
Pick up this recipe and give it a spin. Pretty soon the hot weather will return, Skynet will become self aware and you'll wish
you could "bock to da wintah" and brew one of these delicious beers.
Available in extract or all grain.
